Social-Only Sponsored Posts — Everything You Need to Know

Here at Ahalogy, we pride ourselves on being curious. We’re curious about the influencer marketing world, what our competitors are doing, and we’re always looking for the next opportunity in our space. Not just for our agency and brand partners, but for our content creators, too. So, we put our heads together as a team and tried to create an answer for one of our biggest content issues.

We all know content is king when it comes to social media, but that doesn’t mean that every brand we work with is looking for a full blog post to promote their product. Sometimes, 300 words and multiple photos can seem excessive. With that being said, we are excited to officially launch our latest innovation… Social-only Sponsored Posts!

We think social-only sponsored posts are great for new product or flavor launches, recipes that only require 1-2 simple ingredients, beauty or fashion accessories, and anything that fits right in with our short and sweet approach to quality content!

If you’ve already worked with us on a social-only campaign, heck yeah! If you haven’t, don’t worry, we have plenty coming down the pipeline! While we’re still trying to perfect our process (I’m sure we always will be!) we have some helpful information we want to pass along before you apply to our next social campaign. Shall we dig into the details?

— Start Applying!

Just like any other campaign here at Ahalogy, we try to make our application process as simple and inspiring as possible for our partners. Our Social-Only Campaigns will still live right in our Muse Opportunities Dashboard and will clearly state the objectives in the campaign overview.

Instead of pitching ideas for your blog post, we’ll be asking, “How do you plan to style or integrate this branded product into your social post?” Content should make sense in a short form social setting. Don’t feel as though you need to pitch a typical “list post” that we all know works well on Pinterest. This content should be both concise and informative!

We still love our data (who doesn’t?), so that means we still plan to share Trends & Thought-Starters within every application. Take a look at those, but feel free to get creative when sharing your photo styling ideas as well. Don’t forget to mention the product in your pitch! Brands love to know you’re thinking about them.

— Campaign Requirements

Another upside of these campaigns...fewer requirements! Although we’re still looking for the highest quality content, we’re only asking that you share four photos with us and our brand partners. Less is more, am I right? In addition, we ask that you share your social captions with us for approval. It’s helpful when our content creators outline which photos and captions are meant for each platform.

Typically, we ask that you post your content on Facebook and Instagram. Quick Tip: We’re 100% aligned with our partners posting the same photo on both platforms. The perfect photo should be used more than once, we’re all on the same page there.

— Don’t Forget to Update Your Social Rate!

Keeping your Muse profile up-to-date is very important. Not only for the new social-only campaigns, but for all Ahalogy campaigns. This information is the first thing brands see when reviewing your pitched ideas and is essential to them when choosing the right influencers.

Good news, we’ve updated some of our registration questions in Muse! Now, you’ll be prompted to input your rates for Instagram and Facebook separately. This information lives under the “Blog Details” section of your profile. Be sure to update this information before applying to your next social only campaign.

— Facebook Business Account

All Ahalogy sponsored posts are amplified with Paid Media, even the social-only campaigns! And while we typically promote through our Trellis branded accounts, on occasion, our brand partners love promoting through our content creator’s social accounts. Just another step in the process of sharing authentic content. In order to promote through your social account, we need to verify that you have a Facebook Business account. If you don’t have one, no fret, we’re happy to help you set it up.

At the end of the day, we’re just trying to live up to our mission statement: Ahalogy exists to make the web more meaningful by making creators more empowered, brands more authentic, and content more beautiful. We think this new offering takes us one step further, and we’re excited about that. We hope you agree that this is a step in the right direction. Have more questions about our new process? Feel free to reach out to me or any campaign manager on our team, we’re always happy to hear from you!
